Valérie VESQUE-JEANCARD
Chairman and CEO, Vinci Railways,
Valérie Vesque-Jeancard joined VINCI Concessions in May 2018 as Deputy Director of VINCI Airports and was appointed, in addition, Chairman and CEO of VINCI Railways in June 2021.
As such, she is responsible for rail and urban transportation infrastructure projects development worldwide, as well as the supervision of VINCI Railways existing assets in that field. A key reference of the company is LISEA, the South-Europe Atlantic (SEA) High-Speed Rail concession in France (300 km, 8 Bn€, 50-year concession). VINCI Railways is also the majority shareholder of Synerail, a P3 covering construction, operation and maintenance of a 18 000 km rail-dedicated GSM network in France.
Since 2021, Valérie Vesque-Jeancard is also Vice President of AGIFI, an association that gathers French private rail infrastructure providers, O&M companies and engineering firms.
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees and Ecole d’Economie de Paris, Valérie Vesque-Jeancard first worked as a consultant at the World Bank (1992-93) for transportation infrastructure projects, before holding various positions related to international project finance within the French Ministry of Economy (1994-01) and serving at the French Court of Auditors (2002-05). She afterwards held various leading positions in the cultural and retail sectors (Deputy CEO of the French National Library (2006-10), Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (2010-11) and CEO of Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais (2011-18)), before joining the VINCI group.
